Motd Design Contest

We need a new MOTD! So I am making this contest in hopes of finding a good new MOTD for us. The prize will be a free reserved slot on all Lotus servers for 6 months and a special in game perk (more on this later).

Who can enter:
Anyone! Me included.

What needs to be done:
An image with a source file (Photoshop PSD, Fireworks PNG) that follows the guidelines found below. You do not need to have any HTML/CSS knowledge, I can do that part if necessary.

Guidelines:

• Easy to read.
• Interchangeable (If it uses character renders from TF2 those should be easily replaceable with localized renders from other games).
• Has enough space to fit:
  Basic rules/Lotus news
  Server List
  Lotus Logo
  Donation Link/Button

How the winner will be picked:
All entries will be voted upon by the members/recruits first and then the rest of the forum.

Stats Fixed!

Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source stats are now fixed and fully up to date.

The reason for the long delay was because I had to use an older backup from about a month ago to in order to prevent the 50000 skill nonsense that cropped up thanks to a single stats file being processed over and over again. After that huge file was imported (3.5 GB) it took another 3 days to reprocess the logs and get to today.

Starting now the stats are back to hourly updates.

Other stats related news:
The in game stats chat command now brings up a menu with the most useful stats (more to be added later) instead of a page that took 30 minutes to load. This new functionality has been added by my lovely assistant AltPluzF4.

Server/stats Update

Greetings fellow awesome Lotus People/Regulars,

There's a few issues that I would like to address:

• Stats Breakage - I am aware of this and will be fixing this asap. Though I'm not doing a quick fix, I wanna fix the problem that caused it first so it's taking a bit longer.
• Autobalance/Hat Disable - Me and Alt are working on integrating these. And by that I mean just redoing the whole thing . The hats will fly off on death and autobalance will COMPLETELY ignore admins/donors (This includes arena).
• Donors will no longer see donation related ads.
• German servers should be back soon.
• Some other stuff I forgot by the time I wrote the above.

Stats & Forum Maintenance

All should be back to normal now

Stats are being moved to a new and more powerfull server*, general maintenance is also being performed on the forum database.

*No gameplay statistics will be lost, only delayed .

9:30 PM: Stats site has been moved, custom additions will be updated later (Sentries destroyed, backstabs, etc).

Server Plugins Updated.

I have just finished updating the servers with the latest Lotus plugin package. Most of it were small changes and bug fixes.

Few Highlights:

• Stats reader plugin now announces available chat commands: rank, top10, awards.
• New donator beacon/aura color.
• New end round immunity particle effect (Will add bonk effect later).
• Bunch of other small fixes/changes such as the new chat advert color.

Things to come:

• Stats reader will show the total amount of assists made when a person types in rank.
• Rank and skill might be announced on player join in public chat (Maybe a setting to turn it on or off?).
• Announcer sound file additions on Arena/Stock Maps #2 (There's a bunch of unused announcer sounds that valve left in for dominations/killing streaks made by the TF2 announcer).
• Map ambience changes on the Arena server (mostly making the maps clearer and more sharper than they are now).
• Some other stuff that I forgot about while typing up the above.

Donator benefits might go away for an hour or so while the server notices the updates and reloads the plugins.

Lotus Clan Announces European Conquest

It is with a slight amount of personal pleasure that I announce the beginning of our European conquest. We will no longer have location restrictions on new applicants and we shall be obtaining resident Europeans to help run practices for the other side of the world. Our grand total of European servers has now been increased to 7. More info on them follows:
